OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2011. UTair Aviation continues to demonstrate significant growth. In January 2011 the airline’s passenger turnover totaled 613,034.7 passenger-kilometers, a YoY increase of 18.3% against an industry average of 17.6%.

In January UTair transported 313,113 passengers, 2% more than for the same period in 2010. The airline’s aircraft logged 13,250 flight hours, 2 more than in the same period of 2010. UTair aircraft carried 876.5 tons of cargo, 15.7% more than last year.

UTair’s helicopter division has also demonstrated significant growth. In January 2011 the company's helicopters transported a total of 30,057 passengers, 5% more than for the same period in 2010. The total flight hours logged by UTair helicopters grew 15% and constituted 5,085 hours.

According to the UTair operational forecast, the airline plans to serve more than 7 million passengers in 2011. More than 100 aircraft and 200 helicopters of various types and classes will be involved in realization of company operations. The airline's planes and helicopters will have logged a total of 350,000 flight hours. Helicopter operations in Russia and eleven foreign countries are expected to see an annual increase of 6.5%.
