PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Ltd., a Fujitsu company, will focus on scan-to-process and scan-to-cloud at this year’s CeBIT computer trade show, taking place in Hanover, Germany between 1 - 5 March 2011. PFU, which manufactures Fujitsu document scanners, will present innovative solutions especially suited for integration into existing business processes, networks and cloud services, at six different stands. Solutions

As the new star in the Fujitsu scanner family, PFU will show the first network scanner of the successful ScanSnap series at CeBIT. The compact ScanSnap network scanner supports the document capture needs of today’s business in large and small companies. Via the administration console it is possible to manage job processes centrally and to setup and deploy individual user roles, permitting any user in a workgroup to integrate paper-based information into existing digital business processes intuitively via an integrated touchscreen. The new ScanSnap network model will be on display at the Fujitsu stand as well as at stands in the Public Sector Parc and in the Planet Reseller area.

For individuals and businesses, Cloud based solutions are becoming more prevalent. PFU will demonstrate a variety of integration scenarios that show customers how to tie critical document information into their desktop, network or Cloud solution and set the stage for future product offerings.

The solutions on display in Hanover will show the broad assortment of Fujitsu scanners, addressing a wide variety of users and clients from home-office applications through larger departments all the way to centralized document capture at Fortune 500 companies. Visitors at the CeBIT in Hanover will find the following Fujitsu scanner solutions as well.
PFU Exhibits

At the Fujitsu Stand, Hall 2, Stand B38, PFU will exhibit the new ultra-compact, mobile S1100 ScanSnap solution. This handy, but powerful travel companion lets users who are on the road transfer paper documents directly to cloud applications at the touch of a button. Thus, the scanned information is available at any time, even on mobile end devices, permitting authorized users to immediately process it. Still other models at the stand are the ScanSnap S1300, the versatile compact scanner for Windows and Mac operating systems, the fi-6140 color duplex scanning solution specially conceived for small and mid-sized businesses with a daily volume ranging typically from 1,200 to 6,000 documents, and the high-performance fi-6670A, a document scanner capable of processing up to 90 pages a minute, designed for use in larger departments or central document-capture facilities.

In the Public Sector Parc, Hall 9, Stand C60, PFU will be exhibiting customer-oriented solutions based on fi-series scanners, and ScanSnap models that help optimize administration processes and permit easy, secure utilization of cloud services.

In the Planet Reseller area, Hall 14, Stand J44, PFU will present the entire, further expanded ScanSnap line with innovations and cloud features that assist users in their day-to-day work, whether they are at their desk, are working in a network team or are on the road. For resellers, PFU will demonstrate live how to enter the document-management business and to create business value by starting with document capture. The fi-6130 scanner will also be on display, the standard device for professional, regular document capture in office environments. The technology partner sharing the stand will be Evernote with its application for structuring notes in the cloud.

High-performance scanners from the fi-series in particular will be on display at the stand of solution partner DICOM (formerly known as Kofax), Hall 3, Stand G16. In addition to the fi-6800 and the fi-6670A, the PFU flagship fi-5950 with a capacity of up to 100,000 pages per day will run through its paces. This particular scanner, designed for high-volume environments, will also be featured at the stand of PFU's documentmanagement partner DocuWare.

In the OS X Business Park, Hall 2, Stand A20, visitors can test ScanSnap models for the Mac operating system. They only need to follow the intuitive concept that is common to all ScanSnap products: just insert the document, press the button, select the destination, and they are done. Thanks to the cloud connection, users can capture documents directly on their iPads and iPhones using procedures familiar from the office without any loss in quality or functionality.
