OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2011. TNK Lubricants, a subsidiary of TNK-BP, is to supply 3,000 tonnes of innovative lubricants worth a total of 135 million rubles to Russian companies MMK, SIBUR, Evraz Group and OGK-4 in 2011, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

One of the biggest users of TNK Lubricants’ products is the Magnitogorsk Metals Combine (OJSC MMM), to which 2,160 tonnes are to be supplied this year. MMK is working on a programme to replace foreign-made lubricants by premium TNK products with quality characteristics equal or superior to their imported equivalents.

TNK Lubricants is the exclusive supplier of specialized lubricants to companies in the SIBUR group operating in chemically aggressive environments. This year, the company plans to supply 700 tonnes of products to SIBUR.

In 2011, TNK-BP began industrial deliveries of a new oil known as TNK Revolux D3 to OJSC Evrazruda, which is part of the Evraz Group. A total of 150 tonnes will be supplied during 2011.

TNK’s next-generation turbine oil Turbo ER 46 has been chosen for initial use in a new 400 MW Siemens gas turbine unit at OGK-4’s Yaivinskaya power plant, which is planning to purchase 80 tonnes of the product this year.

Turbo ER 46 oil is the only oil developed and produced inside Russia that meets Siemens’ operating requirements.

“Innovative lubricants are vitally important for today’s hi-tech industry in order to survive against tough competition on the global markets”, says Maxim Khoroshenkov, General Director of TNK Lubricants. “Our goal is to ensure that our products are world-class by using the most up-to-date technologies and the latest scientific advances.”
