OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2011. Enterprises and organizations of the Uzavtoyul state joint stock company carried out works related to road construction and repairs worth UZS 468.8 billion in 2010.

More than 250 km of new roads were commissioned last year, which is 1.9 times more than in 2009, Uzavtoyul told.

This year the company plans construct and reconstruct a total of 302 km of automobile roads.

Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank signed an agreement on attracting credit resources worth USD 600 million for construction and reconstruction of 222 km of roads on the Uzbek national highway.

In accordance with the President’s December resolution on development of infrastructure and transport and communication construction, 2,306 km of roads on the national highway will be built and repaired in 2001-2015.

The project includes construction of bridges and junctions, as well as petrol and gas filling stations, repair and medical service stations, parking spaces, motels and hotels.
