OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2011. Under an investment project, the forge plant has received the first installation for rapid change of die tooling.

The largest Russian supplier of press-forging plants – "Tjazhmekhpress" JSC (Voronezh) – produced this installation against an order of KAMAZ-Metallurgy OJSC. A specialist from this company came to the forge plant to provide installation supervision. Now KAMAZ experts prepare for installation of the new equipment on a working area of press shop No 1.

The project will enable to increase labor productivity as workers of the forge plant lose a lot of working time to readjust equipment manually. The innovation will help solve this problem. Just compare: whereas now it takes about 7 hours of working time to change a die tooling in press shop No 1, with the installation it will be reduced to 2 hours. Besides, the installation features higher quality and accuracy of forging.
