OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2011. Belarus plans to increase milk output up to 10 million tonnes annually and dairy export to USD 3 billion a year by 2015, up 51.5% and 100% from the 2010 level, the press service of the president reported.

Milk processing volume is expected to increase 80% to 9 million tonnes, and export of dairy products will rise to 59% of the total output to 5.5 million tonnes in milk terms.

It is planned to spend 31.5 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) on the milk industry in 2011-2015, including 1.6 trillion rubles on construction and upgrade of dairy farms.

In that period, it is planned to build about 900 new dairy farms and reconstruct 1,400 farms.

In 2010, milk processing increased 0.5% to 5.008 million tonnes.
