OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2011. Belarus’ beer output increased 100% on the year in January 2011 to 2.309 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom stated.

OJSC Krinitsa, based in Minsk, produced 489,300 decaliters of beer, down 45.1% on the year.

OJSC Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 478,000 decaliters of beer in January, an increase of 20.1% on the year.

Heineken Breweries produced 666,700 decaliters of beer in the period, up 54% on the year, and OJSC Rechitsapivo produced 18,300 decaliters of beer in January, down 61.1%. Both companies are controlled by Heineken Belarus.

OJSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 39.3% to 444,500 decaliters.

OJSC Brest Beer produced 208,600 decaliters of beer, up 31.2%.

Beer output in plastic bottles went down 0.3% to 1.868 million decaliters, in glass bottles rose 9.7% to 321,700 decaliters, in kegs increased 43.6% to 112,500 decaliters and in cans fell 60.8% to 6,900 decaliters.

Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers increased 13.1% on the year in January to 2.022 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales went down 18.5% to 492,300 decaliters, Olivaria sales went up 18.5% to 423,700 decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales increased 27.5% to 358,200 decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer went up 7.8% to 133,620 decaliters, of Heineken Breweries increased 50.4% to 611,200 decaliters and of Rechitsapivo dropped 26.6% to 35,100 decaliters.
