OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2011. Belarus’ woodworking, paper and pulp-making companies’ output last year increased 14.9% on the year in January-December 2010 to 4.39 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), an official with the National Statistics stated.

Wood veneer output rose 17.9% to 177,400 cubic meters, and sawn lumber production increased 8.8% to 967,200 cubic meters.

Fiberboard output rose 9.1% year-on-year to 39.7 million equivalent square meters, and chip wood board production went down 2.5% to 300,300 equivalent cubic meters.

Furniture output increased 18.5% to 1.597 trillion rubles in monetary terms.

Inventories of woodworking, paper and pulp-making companies amounted to 241.5 billion rubles on January 1, 2011.
