FAS Extends Period for Considering Petition of Mechel-Service
OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2011. Governed by Article 33 of No.135-FZ Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” of 26th June 2006, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) considered the “Mechel-Service” Ltd. (location: 12/5, Kursovoi Pereulok, build.5, Moscow, 103104) (Registration No. 67613 of 30th December 2010) on acquiring the main production assets of “Volgogradsky Metall” CJSC (location: 3/12, Mechanizatorov St., Rostov-on-Don, 344020), constituting 26% of the company’s production assets and intangible assets, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
The petition was filed in accordance with Article 28 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
Governed by Clause 2 Part 2 and Part 3 Article 33 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, FAS Russia considered the petition and extended the period for its consideration for two months in order to be able to obtain additional information.
