Freight One Increases Shipments of Steam Coal in January 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2011. In January 2011, Freight One shipped 490 thousand tons of steam coal from the strip mines of the Krasnoyarsk territory and Khakassia to companies in the housing and utilities sector. Shipments increased by 2.2 times compared to the same period last year. Shipments were mainly made to the Eastern Siberia, Trans-Baikal and the Far East regions.
On average, Freight One shipped 228 gondola cars of coal per day within the reaches of the Krasnoyarsk railway in January to companies in the housing and utilities sector. The largest volume of shipments was from the coal producers of Khakassia — 57,1% and the Krasnoyarsk territory — 42,2%.
In 2010, Freight One hauled more than 6.6 million tons of coal from the stations along the Krasnoyarsk railway (Eastern Siberia). Overall, shipping volumes of bulk loads in Freight One’s gondola cars on the Krasnoyarsk railway, where the coal producers of the Krasnoyarsk territory and Khakassia are located, doubled in January 2011 up to 18.2 thousand compared to the same period last year.
