OREANDA-NEWS. A new direct scheduled flights between Kiev and Samara will be operated starting March, 27, 2011, four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – from Kiev to Samara, and on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays – from Samara to Kiev respectively, reported the press-centre of UIA.

“The launch of the flight to Samara is a landmark event for UIA. This is the first city in Russia, where our airline will operate its own scheduled flights, – noted Dmitry Shinkarchuk, UIA Deputy Vice President Sales and Marketing. – The Samara region is a developed industrial area, since major Russian enterprises, which are of interest for Ukrainian business, are situated in Samara, Tolyatti, and Syzran. Today, cooperation in industrial sector is an important component of economic relations between Ukraine and Russia. Launching the Samara destination, UIA aims at strengthening business ties between our two states. Meanwhile, being a tourist destination, Ukraine has always attracted Russian travelers. With the launch of the new flight, vacation in Kiev, the Carpathians and Crimea will become more accessible for the residents of the southeast of European Russia”.
