Baosteel Sales of Hot-rolled Products Exceeded Annual Plan

Last year, faced with intense market competition in the hot-rolled varieties, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. hot rolling production, sales and research team collaborated with others and accomplished 106% of the annual sales plan. Among them, the sales of exclusive and leading products covers 123% and 109% of the annual plan, boosting up the enterprise's maximization of the value of hot-rolled varieties, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.
In recent years, hot-rolled varieties become a highly competitive and low-profit area in steel market. Faced with this situation, Baosteel hot rolling production, sales and research team develops high strength steel for automobile and engineering machinery and high-end variety of weather resistant, corrosion-resistant steel series and expands the leading edge in hot-rolled varieties. Baosteel expands the market to meet the need of downstream industry for domestic substitution of imports. Baosteel achieves production line optimization, reasonable allocation of resources and improves the manufacturing capacity. Last year, sales of both the exclusive products and leading products broke annual records and the import substitution indicators were also fulfilled before deadline.
This year, Baosteel hot rolling production, sales and research team will re-examine production technology to ensure product quality and stability. Efforts will be made to promote development of high strength steel varieties, to improve application and sales range to meet customers' needs. The team will continue to optimize product structure, reduce production costs and enhance product competitiveness and profitability. Attention will be given to quality issues raised by customers.
