OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2011. JSC “Zaporozhtransformator” (ZTR) is the winner in tender for equipment delivery for one of the large-scale power plants of Kazakhstan – TPP Aksuskaya, included in JSC “Euroasian Power Corporation”.

According to Contract, ZTR will manufacture one unit transformer 400 MVA, 500 kV and two transformers 40 MVA rated for 35 and 20 kV for the 6-th power-generating unit of TPP Aksuskaya (Aksu city). Equipment is scheduled to be supplied in the second half of the next year.

TPP Aksuskaya belongs to the leading rank as related to power generation and delivery in Kazakhstan. Power Plant interconnects power systems of West Siberia, Altai (RF) and East-North Kazakhstan. TPP Aksuskaya feeds with power the major enterprise of Kazakhstan; this power enterprise accounts for 16% of total power generated in the country.

Collaboration between JSC “Zaporozhtransformator” and JSC “Euroasian Power Corporation” has already continuing within 10 years. For this period more than twenty transformers of various capacities have been supplied, including four phases of controlled reactor rated for capacity 60 MVAr per each phase.
