OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2011. Due to the developments in Egypt Donavia in conjunction with the tour operators made a decision to suspend its charter flights from Rostov-on-Don to Egypt (Sharm-el-Sheikh and Hurghada) beginning from February 2011.

On February 1st Donavia carried its passengers from Egypt to Rostov on the flights scheduled before from Hurghada and Sharm-el-Sheikh; charter program flights will be also operated on February 5th.

The tourists holding air tickets for the dates on and before February 5th will be accepted on a first-priority basis.

In case of seats availability the tourists holding Donavia air tickets on later dates as well as other tour operators' tourists are accepted provided their carriage was agreed in advance between Donavia and the tour operators.

It has been decided that the tour operators will transport their tourists who wish to stay in Egypt via Moscow; at the same time Donavia is ready to make its fleet available to the Rostov natives for the return air travel. The flights of Donavia to Egypt are cancelled for an indefinite term and can be restored after the situation in Egypt is normalized.
