Particularly, Moldovan exports in this period grew 22.9% - to USD 1,582.1 million, imports – 17.6% - to USD 3,855 million, according to the National Statistics Bureau. Moldovan goods supplies to the CIS states in 2010 grew 27.3% - to USD 624.2 million, to the EU states – 11.7% - to USD 746.5 million.

The share of the CIS countries in the total volume of Moldovan export in 2010 increased from 38.1% to 39.4% in comparison with 2009, while the share of the EU states – reduced from 51.9% to 47.2%.

Imports to Moldova from the CIS in 2010 totaled USD 1,256.9 million, up 10.1% in comparison with 2009, while imports from the EU grew 19.9%, to USD 1,704.2 million. The share of the CIS countries in the total Moldovan import went down to 32.6% from 34.8%, that of the EU countries – rose from 43.4% to 44.2%.

The deficit of the balance of trade of Moldova with the EU countries in 2010 increased 27.2% - to USD 957.7 million, with the CIS countries – reduced by 2.9% - to USD 632.7 million. Moldova had the biggest deficit of the balance of trade in 2010 with Ukraine - USD 436.9 million.

It was followed by China - USD 317.9 million, Germany - USD 219,3 million, Russia - USD USD 182.3 million, Romania - USD 129.4 million, Turkey - USD 123.3 million, Italy - USD 122.6 million, Greece - USD 69.8 million, Poland - USD 58.4 million, Hungary - USD 55.7 million.
