OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2011. IBS Borlas specialists have implemented a licensed solution “Accounting reporting system according to RAS practice” in Sibirtelecom. The solution is based on Oracle technologies and intended for preparation of accounting statements in enterprise information system of the telecom operator based on Oracle E-Business Suite, reported the press-centre of IBS.

One of the most important functions of information system operating in Sibirtelecom is the preparation of accounting statements. According to RAS practice, minus posting and correspondence of accounts shall be indicated in all reports. In order to comply with this practice, as well as with the purpose of reducing accounting preparation terms and facilitating work of accounting department, it was initiated in Sibirtelecom to implement IBS Borlas solution “Accounting reporting system according to RAS practice”. The solution is also known at the market as BARS software (Borlas Accounting Reporting System).

BARS SW is intended for enterprise management system based on Oracle E-Business Suite (version 11 and 12) applications. The idea of its creation emerged among IBS Borlas specialists after thorough analysis of work of accounting departments with information systems. The analysis indicated that foreign ERP system is efficient for solving management accounting tasks; however companies have to exert considerable efforts in order to organize Russian accounting and tax reporting. The data format of standard reports delivered by the foreign system requires considerable time for staff adaptation for working in a new system.

BARS SW efficiently solves the task of providing accounting data in commonly accepted formats; besides, it facilitates the process of creation new accounting reports, tax registers and other types of accounting statements. The essence of the solution implemented in Sibirtelecom is that accounting date from enterprise management system are loaded to data storage where reports are generated on their basis under classifiers specified by users. The solution is integrated with subsystems of finance management, material flow management and HR management.
