SITRONICS Smart Technologies Ltd., a leading Russian manufacturer of smart ca rds and network solutions for telecommunication and financial industries, social and medical insurance and public companies announces the implementation of the “Multi SIM” solution for OJSC MegaFon.

“Multi SIM” is a new step in development of the telecommunication services market, which allows to move from the option of having two SIM cards in one phone to an option of using two phone numbers using one SIM card.

The “Multi SIM” applet is an innovation application, which allows the subscriber to switch between two phone numbers using one SIM card. The main distinction from similar solutions is the operator registers two subscriptions not at the stage of manufacturing of the cards, but immediately at the moment of sale.

When the phone is switched on for the first time, the applet starts the operation of automated tuning and after that the subscriber can easily switch between the phone numbers using the SIM menu. The idea of developers is that appearance of new application on the market will aid to improvement of the quality of service of the mobile operators and attract new subscribers. The download of the “Multi SIM” applet to SIM cards will be done at the stage of manufacturing.

During the first stage the new service of MegaFon, that received a commercial name “Personal number” will be available to the subscribers of Moscow and Moscow region. The next step is provision of this service in other regions of Russia.
