OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2011. Oleg Bakiev was appointed as the new CEO of I.T. Co. As CEO he will replace Tagir Yapparov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the I.T. Group of Companies, who will focus on development and management of the Group. The appointment is to come into effect as of February 2011.

“During the last few years I had to combine the management of the I.T. Group of Companies with the CEO position at I.T. Co., which involved the simultaneous decision-making process of different strategic and business goals, - said Tagir Yapparov. – With the appointment of Oleg Bakiev as CEO of the system integrator, I can now fully focus on the management and business development of the entire I.T. Group of Companies. Oleg is one of the most experienced and professional managers of our team and I feel confident that Oleg is the right candidate to be the new CEO of I.T. Co.”.

In 1987 Oleg Bakiev graduated from the Ufa Aviation Institute, majoring in Automated Control Systems. From 1989 to 1995 Mr. Bakiev was enrolled in military service. Later Oleg worked as a principal software engineer at the Institute for Metals Superplasticity Problems of RAS. In 1995 he started his career in I.T. Co. as sales manager of the company’s fist branch office in Ufa. Later he was appointed Executive and Commercial Director of the Ural branch office. In 2004 Mr. Bakiev was promoted to Director of the Ural branch office. In the autumn 2009 Oleg moved to Moscow as I.T. Co.’s Regional Business Development Director while also serving as I.T. Co.’s Executive Director.

Oleg Bakiev is married and has a daughter. He enjoys photography, Russian billiards, and loves to travel.
