Women Entrepreneurs Receive Microcredits in Tashkent
OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2011. The winners of the project “Raising economic and social status of women through support in implementing innovative business ideas” were awarded in Tashkent.
The project is run by the republican public organization Women’s Council in cooperation with the National Association of Microfinancing Organizations, Mehr Nuri charity fund and other entities.
The goal of the scheme is to promote entrepreneurship among women and provide them with consultative and legal aid.
The contest identified the best ideas, initiatives and business plans in directions like agriculture, industrial and textile production, national craftsmanship, social and trade service, public catering and others.
A total of 28 winners of the project received certificates for microcredits worth UZS 183 million in general.
