OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2011. Frankfurt International Airport creates new facilities for Air Moldova passengers traveling within the program Air & Rail Germany, reported the press-centre of Air Moldova.

Passengers of Air Moldova airline arriving at Frankfurt Airport by Deutsche Bahn trains, in the frame of Air & Rail program, can check in their luggage directly at the airport's long distance train station, in the AIRAIL terminal. In this way they can stroll unencumbered to their boarding gate for Air Moldova flight 9U 864 Frankfurt-Chisinau. In this way baggage can be checked in shortly after your train arrives in Frankfurt, which means low wait periods and a pleasant start to your flight from Frankfurt Airport.

In the AIRAIL terminal, for Air Moldova passengers the check in service is available at the counters 11-12. The opening hours are 07.00-20.00.

Air Moldova airline implemented Air & Rail program in 2008, due to an interline agreement with Deutsche Bahn, Federal railways of Germany.

Using new Air & Rail fares you may be able to get to any of more than 6000 railway stations on the territory of Germany using just one single ticket.

Railway transportation “DeutscheBahn” is issued free of charge on the base of the flight ticket purchased in the frame of Air & Rail program, for the destinations Chisinau-Frankfurt, Frankfurt-Chisinau or Chisinau-Munich, Munich-Chisinau, operated by Air Moldova.

Using the Pick-up Number indicated on the flight ticket, in any of self-care terminals located in every railway station in Germany, the passenger can get a printed ticket for the train.
