OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2011. The Center for Research and Development of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has become a member of the International Network on Financial Education (INFE). At present, the network is represented by more than 135 state agencies, mainly central banks, from 74 countries. Azerbaijan is the third country in the CIS to join the network actively represented by such leading countries as the USA, Canada, Germany and France, reported the press-centre of CBA.

The key goal of the INFE is to provide exchange of information and views among leading agencies of member-states on economic and financial education, as well as propagate progressive experience available in this sphere. Membership in the network provides access to the OECD library.

CRD has launched a number of projects aimed at increase of the level of financial education of the general public, journalists, and students, as well as improvement of skills and knowledge of experts working in the banking and financial sectors. Development resources to be generated from such projects will serve for improvement of economic and financial education in the country.
