Students to Learn Mobile Telecommunications Business with Bakcell
OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2011. 45 students representing Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Qafqaz and Khazar universities were selected based on the competitive application process to participate in the Introduction to Mobile Telecommunications Business Program (IMTB). The program is implemented by Junior Achievement Azerbaijan (JAA) with the support of Bakcell and in partnership with Alcatel-Lucent, reported the press-centre of Bakcell.
The selection rounds were conducted in December, 2010 and involved 280 students in the first and second years of study. The list of selected students is available at the IMTB web portal www.imtb.mobi.
During February-March, 2011 the selected students will participate in work-readiness and business ethics training sessions by Junior Achievement Azerbaijan. In March, the students will advance to the industry-related training by Bakcell, Alcatel-Lucent and JAA. Following the training, the project participants will be able to apply the skills gained at the actual workplace through the internship program at Bakcell and Alcatel-Lucent Azerbaijan in June-July, 2011.
The Introduction to Mobile Telecommunications Business Program started in September, 2010 with the support of Bakcell, in partnership with Alcatel-Lucent and implemented by Junior Achievement Azerbaijan. The two-year program will support 90 undergraduate students in the first and second years of study to obtain work-readiness and business ethics skills, learn about the mobile telecommunications through the industry-specific practical training program and internship program at Bakcell and Alcatel-Lucent.
