Alfa Bank Ukraine Pays 2nd Tranche under 2012 Loan Participation Notes
OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2011. Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) paid the second tranche under its 2012 Loan Participation Notes. The payment comprises coupon yield of USD 23.9 million and a principal installment in a par value of USD 105.1 million. Starting from 30 October 2010, the Notes mature in 8 equal installments paid quarterly at the date of coupon payment and are fully amortised on 30 July 2012, reported the press-centre of Alfa Bank.
In August 2009, the Bank exchanged all its Loan Participation Notes totaling USD 1.045 billion (due 2009, 2010 and 2011) for new US dollar-denominated Notes with coupon paid quarterly, quarterly amortisation due 2012 (“Notes 2012”). This Exchange Offer was accepted by majority of the Noteholders. Total amount of the new issue equaled to USD 840,633,000. As of now, the Bank has redeemed near 40% of all the Loan Participation Notes outstanding before the Exchange.
Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) is a member of the Alfa Banking Group and maintains its position among the top ten major banks in Ukraine in total assets according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
