OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2011. ASTARTA has reached an arrangement on acquisition of Novoivankivskyi sugar plant with its production capacities of 2 000 tons of beet per day in Kharkiv region.

Therefore, the Group actively develops its business the in the Eastern Ukraine: at present it leases 5 thousand hectares of land and owns Artemivskyi sugar plant which is used as a logistics center in the neighboring Poltava region.

When compliance with all the documentary formalities and licensing procedures for the acquisition is completed,  new asset will become a starting point for the formation of a vertically-integrated regional unit of ASTARTA in the Eastern part of Ukraine and will support diversification of weather risks and optimization of sugar logistics to customers in this region.
