OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2011. Eriell Group who provides services for oil-and-gas companies worldwide performed official acceptance tests of Uralmashplant drilling rigs. Uralmashplant manufactured two drilling rigs Uralmash 5000/320 EK-BMCh for Eriell Group; the rigs are planned for leasing by Gazprom Leasing Company as provided by the contract negotiated in February 2010.

Eriell top management and representatives of TNK-Uvat, the company that plans to operate the new drilling rigs at its oil fields, attended the procedure.

The visitors performed visual evaluation of the rigs erected at test-assembly sight. The base drives of the drilling machinery were started in the presence of the visitors.

Plus, the enterprise effectively renovates its facilities, and significant investments are placed into drilling-equipment sector, - comments Vladislav Oschepkov, Eriell Group chief executive officer. "Along with Uralmashplant designers and engineers Eriell designers made a significant progress which resulted in a brand-new design of drilling-rig structure. The rig complies with every technical requirement of drilling personnel, mechanical engineers and optimizes the customer costs at that, - emphasizes Oschepkov. 

Oleg Danchenko, Uralmashplant general director says - "Every new order is virtually a rig of new design, since every customer of ours defines his own requirements for the rig which shall answer particular needs, technologies, operation conditions and results to be achieved. We have manufactured new drilling rigs of two-echelon configuration for Eriell Group. The fundamental difference of the rig is in its parallel two-echelon configuration, which halves its length as against its previous size. This enables drilling personnel to reduce the size of cluster-drilling site and decreases the construction costs significantly".  

Uralmash 5000/320 EK-BMCh drilling rigs represent a new generation of cluster drilling rigs, which are designed for oil and gas drilling at the Far North areas. The rig structure and parameters provide high mountability and meet all the requirements of modern technologies of oil and gas well drilling. AC variable-frequency drive of the mechanisms and modern drilling monitoring and control systems ensure optimum drilling technique option. The rig features modular configuration, comfortable driller cab, modern drill tower with an open face and   environmentally friendly circulation system. The rig maximum drilling depth is 5000 meters, and its load capacity is 320 tons.

In 2011-2012, Uralmashplant shall deliver ten drilling rigs Uralmash 5000/320 EK-BMCh to Eriell Group.
