RZD Invests to Ports around Gulf of Finland
OREANDA-NEWS. February 04, 2011. Last year, the Company invested 9.13 billion roubles in the full reconstruction of the stretch between Mga - Gatchina - Veimarn - Ivangorod and railway approaches to ports on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland, reported the press-centre of RZD.
The Company also commissioned the following in 2010:

20.4 km of the second track, including electrification, between Stekolny - Novolisino, Novolisino - Vladimirskaya and Frezerhny – Gatchina

36.8 km of the second track without electrification between Gatchina - Voyskovitsy, Elizavetino - Kikereno, 135 km - Kotly-2, Kerstovo - 135 km
-
construction of two new traction substations at Gatchina and Novolisino stations
-
electrical centralisation of 141 points

37.1 km of track with automatic block system, 14.5 km longitudinal power lines, 96.95 km of other structures.
Implementing this project involves creating the necessary conditions for increasing trade between Russia and the EU through the port of Ust-Luga by a comprehensive reconstruction of the relevant sections of the railway line.
