OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2011. OJSC Belaruskali has produced a trial batch of NPK-compound, a source in the company told stated.

The volume of the trial batch is 5 tonnes.

“The NPK-compound produced by Belaruskali will only be used by domestic farms,” he added.

In February, Belaruskali is expected to increase NPK-compound output. This year, NPK-compound production may reach 75,000 tonnes and may further increase depending on the domestic requirement.”

Previously, Belaruskali decided to implement the project to produce NPK-compound independently.

Earlier, Belaruskali suspended talks with Lithuanian Arvi ir ko over the creation of a joint venture to produce NPK-compound.

The key Russian makers of NPK compounds are Phosagro, Akron, Eurochem and Uralchem.

In 2008, Russian NPK exports to China reached about 1 million tonnes, and in 2009, 1.4 million tonnes.
