Olivaria Beer Output Increased 12.6% in 2010

In December 2010, beer output rose 24.8% on the year to 548,000 decaliters.
Beer offering in plastic bottles rose 15.2% to 5.055 million decaliters in January-December, in glass bottles rose 0.7% to 1.606 million decaliters, and in kegs rose 14% to 420,000 decaliters. Beer offering in cans reached 70,000 decaliters.
The brewery accounted for 18% of
Olivaria beer sales rose 11.4% on the year in 2010 to 7.09 million decaliters.
Olivaria was founded in 1864 and transformed into a joint stock company in
Carlsberg A/S acquired a stake in Olivaria through a purchase of a BBH shareholding from Scottish&Newcastle in May 2008. Carlsberg now owns 67.8% in the brewery.
