OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2011. The support of the small business is one of the foreground directions of the National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU) activity.

NBU actively works on consideration and financing projects on utilization of credit lines of foreign banks, financial institutions, off budget funds and bank's own funds.

Presently NBU chose 253 projects worth USD 591.3 million to finance at the expense of foreign credit lines.

The volume of credits extended to subjects of small business due to own funds made up 355 billion soums for the analyzed period. As for off-budget funds, the subjects of small business received credits worth over 2 billion soums.

For the analyzed period NBU branches and subsidiaries extended 4,200 microcredits worth 44.2 billion soums.
