NBU Credit Portfolio Made Up 3 672,2 bn Soums
OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2011. Board of the National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU) held a session to discuss the results of work in 2010.
In changing economic environment the bank focused its activity on promotion of structural reforms fostering small business development, local production and improvement of bank's client policy and increase of banking services. The work in this direction helped to increase the client base up to 2,374,500.
The bank's consolidated balance on the results of 2010 made up 9,314 billion soums. The volume of credit portfolio made up 3,672.2 billion soums.
To implement measures on prevention and neutralization of the world crisis consequences envisaged by Anticrisis program, foster the increase of capitalization and wider attraction of investments to structural changes in economy, modernization, technical and technological re-equipment, the bank extended credits in foreign currency worth over \\$900.4 million and over 1,716.9 billion soums in national currency.
