OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2011. The Government of Belarus has decided to increase the rates of export customs duties on oil and oil products exported from its territory outside the customs territory of the Customs Union. The decision is contained in Resolution No 96 of the Council of Ministers of 27 January 2011.

From 1 February this year the rate of export customs duties per 1 tonne of crude oil will amount to USD 346.6, oil with sulfur content - USD 137.6. The customs duty on light oil (light distillates, middle distillates) will be set at USD 232.2 per 1 tonne.

The duty on heavy petroleum products (liquid fuels, oils, waste oils) will be equal to USD 161.8, propane, butanes, ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadiene, other liquefied gases - USD 198.8, petroleum jelly, mineral waxes, and similar products - USD 161 8.

In addition, the rate of export customs duties per 1 tonne of petroleum coke and bitumen, other residues of petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous minerals will be equal to USD 161.8, benzene, toluene, xylene - USD 232.2.
