OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2011. In 2010, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) registered growth of money supply (M2) by AZN 2.118 bn (34.5%) versus December 2009).

In 2009 M2 rose by AZN 88.2 million (1.45%) against growth for 2008 by AZN 1.985 bn (48.5%).

The CBA informs that as of 1st January 2011 M2 index totaled AZN 8.297 bn versus AZN 6.169 bn by 1st January 2010.

At that, cash money supply (M0) in 2010 grew by 30.7% (AZN 1.281 bn). As of 1st January 2011, M0 index reached AZN 5.455 bn against AZN 4.17 bn respectively.

By 1st January 2011 broad money supply (M3) totaled AZN 10.527 bn versus AZN 8.469 bn respectively, while transaction money(M1) made up AZN 6.718 bn versus AZN AZN 5.239 bn.

As of 1st January 2011, exchange rate was AZN 0.7979 to the US dollar.
