Troika Dialog Marks Twenty Years with Ice Show in Davos
OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2011. Troika Dialog, attending the 41st annual World Economic Forum as a strategic partner, hosted an ice show featuring the stars of Russian figure skating.
According to Ruben Vardanian, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Troika Dialog, "In 2011 Troika Dialog celebrates its twenty-year anniversary, and our traditional 'Russian skating rink' was scheduled as a celebration of this event. Similar to the past several years, the audience at our show included members of the world financial and political elite."
Audience members witnessed the new production of Ilya Averbukha, based on the script for the ice play "Fire of the big city." Featuring in the show were the country’s best figure skaters and Olympic champions from Europe and the world Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov, Tatiana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin, Maria Petrova and Alexey Tikhonov, Alexey Yagudin, Irina Slutskaya and many others.
According to Ilya Averbukh, "Our ice project was intended as Russia’s business card during the World Economic Forum, so we put particular care into preparing the performance and selecting the figure skaters."
Once the ice show was over, guests at the celebration were treated to traditional Russian fare and hot beverages.
The show was held in Davos on Thursday, January 27, at the open-air skating rink neighboring the Valliant Arena Ice Stadium.
