OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2011. Container Terminal of the Fourth Stevedoring Company started its regular operations. Specialists of Container Terminal discharged 161 reefer containers from vessel Empire (APL line).

First handling operation after modernization of terminal capacities took place on December 25, 2010. First vessel call was performed by Atlantic Ro-Ro Carriers.

Since the first vessel call in order to test the technologies, work of the personnel and adjust all the systems terminal has handled 6 vessels of the lines (Sea Connect, Atlantic Ro-Ro Carriers и Team Lines).

At the present moment the volumes of the containers handled at the terminal amount to 1102 TEU.
 
Reference: reconstruction of the Container Terminal located at the territory of former capacities for handling of general cargoes of Fourth Stevedoring Company started in 2009. In 2009-2010 main equipment for the terminal was delivered and put into operation.

Annual capacity of the Container Terminal amounts to 345 000 TEUs. All kinds of import and export containers, including reefer containers can be handled at this terminal.

The terminal is equipped with 4 STS, 10 RTG, fork-lift trucks with the lifting capacity from 3 tons and the other equipment. The area of the terminal is 28.7 Ha, storage capacity is 9 000 TEUs.
