OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2011. In December 2010, Aeroflot’s passenger traffic increased by 20.7% in comparison with the similar period of 2009 to reach 2,684.5 mln passenger-kilometers. The number of uplifted passengers increased by 16.7% to reach 864.1 thousand, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

The number of passengers of international flights increased by 19.0% (+86,800 passengers) to attain 544,400. On domestic flights, 319,700 passengers were uplifted. This indicator is 12.9% (+36,600 passengers) higher than that for the similar period of 2009. In December, the occupancy of passenger seats was 72.0%, a 3.1 percentage growth as compared with the previous year. The commercial load was 59.8%, a 2.7 percentage growt as compared with the previous year.

The results of 2010 show that Aeroflot’s passenger turnover was 34,777.1 mln passenger-kilometers, a 33.8% growth compared with the results of 2009. The number of uplifted passengers increased by 28.9% to become 11,285,800. The occupancy of passenger seats also increased to 77.2%, a 7.7 percentage growth as compared to the previous year. The commercial load was 63.2%, a 7.3 percentage point growth as compared to the previous year.
