Russian Passenger Traffic up 26% in 2010
OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2011. Russian airlines boosted passenger traffic by 26.2% y-o-y in 2010, up to 56.94 mn people, the Russian Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) reported.
Passenger turnover advanced by 30.8% over the period, up to 147.1 bn pkm. Passenger load factor added on 3.9 pp to 78.2%. Traffic on domestic routes rose by 22.6% in 2010, with 29.21 mn passengers flown.
Payload at domestic routes increased by 1.8 pp to 66.4%. Passenger traffic international routes jumped by 30.8% to 27.72 mn people; passenger turnover amounted 87.51 bn pkm. In December 2010, total passenger traffic at Russian airlines grew by 17.1% to 4.1 mn people, turnover advanced by 24.8% to 10.93 mn pkm, and load factor went up 0.9 pp to 71.6%.
