OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2011. SOGAZ Insurance Group has paid another portion of insurance indemnity in the amount of RUB 250 million for a 2009 accident at Novokuybyshevsk Refinery, a business of the Samara refinery group – part of Russia’s largest oil company, Rosneft.

The indemnity paid by SOGAZ as of today has totaled RUB 600 million and will eventually amount to RUB 1,200 million altogether.

“We highly appreciate our fruitful cooperation with Rosneft, which has been among the key corporate customers of SOGAZ for many years now”, says Vadim Yanov, Chairman of the Management Board of SOGAZ Insurance Group. “Claims settlement following the Novokuybyshevsk Refinery accident is carried out in the shortest possible period. We expect that the Refinery will be fully indemnified for losses under this insured event in Q1 2011”.
