OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2011.  Installation of a feed line for excess water from the collecting main cycle is being completed at the coking chemical product capture department No. 1. Work to lay a new line for feeding excess collecting-main cycle water from clarifier tanks to ammonia stills began back in December of last year. Work was halted due to freezing temperatures, but has now recommenced.

The need for this line arose in connection with the fact that the old connections had become worn down. Ammonia water tends to corrode metal, which entails resistance to welding. The new line is constructed of rust-resistant metal. It has already been laid in full. Specialists from Specialized Coke-Chemical Equipment Repair Department No. 2 are linking it up to existing connections.
