Agro-Industrial Holding Razgulay Reports on 2010 Year Results
OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2011. Razgulay Group is the largest producer of rice cereals in the Russian market for several years. In 2010, the Group companies have collected 130.2 tonnes of rice, accounting for 14, 3% of the gross yield for the Krasnodar Territory and 11.5% in Russia. Extent of the territory used by agricultural holding for growing rice is 17, 5 thousand ha, accounting for 13.2% of the total sown area of the Krasnodar Territory and 8.6% of the sown area of Russia, reported the press-centre of Razgulay.
Razgulay confidently increases its advantage in the technological aspect of business. While at Krasnodar Territory in 2010 the yield increased from 66.6 kg / ha to 67.7 kg / ha, average yield of rice in the fields of agricultural enterprises of the Group increased from 71.7 kg / ha in 2009 to 74.4 kg / ha. Yield difference has already reached 10%, which greatly contributed to the current program of staff motivation and technological improvement of rice cultivation processes.
Razgulay Group occupies a leading position in the market of rice cereals, consistently controlling more than 30% of domestic consumption (including imported component of the market). Rice supplies are implemented in all federal districts. Razgulay partners are the largest product packaging companies: "Agroaliance", "Mistral", "Angstrom", "Yarmarka", as well as processor enterprises: "Nestle", "Istra Nutricia", "Mars", "SanInBev" , Heineken and others.
The Group has also taken the lead in rice export - 36% of cereals, exported from Russia, accounts for the holding plants capacity, which is 3 times more than the amount of the largest Russian exporters of rice.
Razgulay Group rice assets consists of OJSC "Poltavsky KHP" and OJSC "Slaviansky KHP", the total volume of processing of paddy is 300 thousand tonnes per year. Since 2007, at "Slaviansky KHP" there was implemented quality system ISO 2000, and since 2009 the enterprises also produce sort processing of paddy.
"The adopted strategy of holding’s development involves further expansion of the company's presence in the rice industry: over the next 2 years it is planned to increase the processing capacity of rice by more than 30%, significantly expand the cultivated area, hold a series of optimization measures to improve the effectiveness of organizational and management structure of the company in the region. Significant investments are expected to implement in strengthening of the material and technical base of the industry "- says Victor Sukhinov, CEO of agricultural holding.
