Belarusian Producer Prices Went up 13.6% in 2010

Production facilities prices went up 9.5%, intermediate materials prices went up 25.5%, and consumer goods prices increased 13.5%.
In January-December 2010, prices increased 13.6% on January-December 2009.
In December, prices rose 34.5% on the year in the petrochemical industry, 33% in the electricity industry, 30.8% in the chemical industry, 27.8% in the glass and porcelain industry, 23.3% in the fuel industry, 21.6% in the medical industry, 19.1% in the pulp-and-paper industry, and 19% in ferrous metallurgy.
Also, prices rose 18.4% in the construction materials industry, 17.1% in the microbiological industry, 14.4% in the light industry, 14% in the food-processing industry, 10.5% in engineering and metalworking, 6.5% in the printing industry, 4.7% in the flour and cereal industry.
Producer prices were supposed to increase not more than 9%-10% on the year.
Freight tariffs increased 30% in December 2010 from December 2009.
Automobile freight tariffs went up 17.5%, railroad freight tariffs went up 15.8%, air transport tariffs went up 4.7%, and pipeline tariffs hiked 80%.
PPI rose 14.5% on the year in 2009 following a rise of 14.2% on the year in 2008.
