OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2011. Azerbaijan has endorsed two state standards AZS 539-2011 and AZS 541-2011 on the basis of the Codeks Alimentarius standards.

According to the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents, AZS 539-2011 defines standard "Canned apple juice on the basis of physical methods” and AZS 541-2011 - standards “Handbook. Mixed apple juices”. The standards will take effect from 1 February this year. Standard AZS 539-2011 relates to juices of immediate use, and provides preserving of juices by physical methods without the use of ionizing radiations. Juice may not be transparent, thick or clear, and diluted with water.

Standard AZS 541-2011 is applied to juices from two or more ripe fruits preserved by physical means, provided for immediate consumption, not sour, but having the ability to oxidation, thick, not transparent or translucent.
