OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2011. New cars in Russia will be equipped with ERA-GLONASS terminals. 2 billion rubles have been allocated for the program. ERA-GLONASS is a road accident response system. In case of a hard accident, the terminal detects coordinates of the car via the satellites and translated the information to the operator.

Mass introduction of the system will begin in 2013.
