OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2011. During the 2010 year Roshen Confectionary Corporation has sold its products for more than 1 billion dollars, that is 32% more as compared to the results of the 2009 year.

Total production volume of confectionary in 2010 year is about 410 thousand tons, that is 12,7% more as compared to 2009.

Investment projects and modernization of factories

In 2010 construction of the new confectionary plant has been launched in Vinnitsa (Ukraine). It will be basic enterprise of corporation. There will be 1500 working places at this enterprise. In the last December of 2010 year the first phase of building - construction of reinforced concrete frame, was finished and own electric power station (25 MBT) was launched. The largest of milk production in Ukraine will also be built in Vinnitsa. It will include 3 enterprises: for the production of milk powder, condensed products and butterfat.

The first phase of modernization was launched in the UAB "Roshen" Klaipeda's factory. Invested funds will be allotted for the purchase and installation of the new powerful lines for manufacturing high-boiled candies and increasing the effectiveness of energy economy of the plant.

In 2011 construction of production and distribution facilities will be launched in Kosyrivka (Lipetsk region, Russia). Production and distribution facilities will be arranged on the area of 23 ha and will include a confectionary plant and a class A distribution centre with the total area of 70 thousand sq. m.
