OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2011. In pursuance of Order of the Committee on Telecommunications and Informatization of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Informatization of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Approval of Tariffs for Universal Telecommunication Services" # 3 of January 14, 2011 (hereinafter – the Order), from February 1, 2011 shall be introduced new tariffs for universal telecommunication services. The Order has been issued under the next phase of tariffs for universal telecommunications services rebalancing, reported the press-centre of KASE.

According to the Order , from February 1, 2011 the changes shall be as follows:

1. Decrease of a tariff for collective Internet access with the speed not less than 256 Kbps by 52.38% - from KZT4.20 (without VAT) to KZT2 (without VAT) for each complete or incomplete minute of connection;

2. Increase of a monthly user fee per main/paired telephone, transferred/not transferred to the time payment for local telephone connection:

for subscribers - individuals, residing in urban or rural areas by 20%.

Thus, for example, the monthly user fee per main telephone not transferred to time payment system in urban area the connection shall increase from KZT520.00 (without VAT) to KZT624.00 (without VAT), in rural area – from KZT345.25 (without VAT) to KZT414.30 (without VAT);

for subscribers - notary officers, who has a private practice, lawyers and individual entrepreneurs by 15,81%.

Thus, for example, the monthly user fee per main telephone not transferred to time payment system shall increase from KZT644.7 (without VAT) to KZT746.61 (without VAT).

The existing tariffs shall be retained for the following services:

- monthly user fee of subscribers - legal entities;

- trunk telephone connection for all user groups

- local connection in case of time payment for all user groups.
