Rosneft-Stavropol to Pay 4,5 mn Rubles for Violating Antimonopoly Law
OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2011. Stavropol Regional Arbitration Court pronounced legitimacy of the determination imposing a fine (around 4.5 million Rubles) on No.2 administrative case against “Rosneft-Stavropol” NK” OJSC, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
On 4th February 2008, the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Stavropol region (OFAS Russia) fined “Rosneft-Stavropol” NK” OJSC for administrative violations under Article 14.32 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations.
Earlier the Commission of Stavropol OFAS Russia for antimonopoly violations found that “Rosneft-Stavropol” NK” OJSC and “Lukoil-Yugnefteproduct” violated Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. In November 2007 the companies exercised concerted actions towards increasing retail prices for oil products.
“Rosneft-Stavropol” NK” OJSC challenged the determination of Stavropol OFAS Russia on No.2 administrative case to impose the fine at Stavropol Regional Arbitration Court. The Court supported the position of the antimonopoly body and upheld the decision of Stavropol OFAS Russia.
