OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2011. The supervisory board of the pilot program of money transfers attraction to Moldova’s economy PARE 1+1 has approved the first 10 projects for funding. The decision was taken during the second sitting presided by Deputy Prime Minister, Economy Minister Valerii Lazar after the examination of the submitted projects, it was informed at the Ministry of Economy. 14 applications for financing in the fields of bee keeping, agriculture, wood processing and furniture production, consulting services and others have been registered by now in the Organization for Small- and Medium-sized Business Development.

All applications came from the central and northern regions of the country. It was said at the sitting that 21 labor migrants or their relatives participated in the first cycle of PARE 1+1 training carried out on December 13-24, and 16 people are participating in the second training (January 17-28). The official launch of the PARE 1+1 program took place in November 2010. The program stipulates that for each invested leu from the money earned abroad, Moldovan labor migrants and their first-degree relatives will receive 1 leu from the government provided that the money is used for establishment or development of an enterprise with a private authorized capital.

The maximal amount of the grant provided by the Moldovan government for these purposes totals 200 thousand leis but it may be increased in future. The Moldovan authorities will also be providing all possible information, consulting support to Moldovan labor migrants for development of their business, informing of the state of affairs in economy and investment opportunities. It is planned that the PARE 1+1 program will enable to increase the volume of investments in national economy, to create and develop small enterprises, including 70% - in rural area.
