Krasnoyarsk Shipyard to Build Bunker Ship for Norilsk Nickel
OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2011. OJSC Krasnoyarsk Shipyard was awarded a RUB 400m order (USD 13,368m) for a fuel bunkering vessel from MMC Norilsk Nickel. Today, January 20, 2011 the shipbuilder started the construction of the vessel of capacity of 1,110 tons, Norilsk Nickel press release said.
This class of marine vessel designed for operation in ice conditions, will carry out bunkering of ships at Dudinsky seaport. The ship measures in length 72 meters, breadth - 12, 5 m, max draft 2,8 m. The vessel is scheduled for completion in 2012, the shipbuilder’s press service said.
The fleet upgrade program of Norilsk Nickel’s Polar Transport Branch also includes the orders for two tugboats: a sea-going tug to be built at JSC Leningradsky Shipyard Pella and a river tug - at JSC Nizhny Novgorod MV Shipyard. The construction is scheduled to begin this year.

OJSC Krasnoyarsk shipyard founded in 1929 tuned into a JSC in 1993. The shipbuilding firm is located on the right bank of the Yenisei River near the Trans-Siberian Railroad. The shipyard has its own railway. Krasnoyarsk Shipyard specializes is building shallow-draft vessels for small rivers. Throughout the years the shipbuilder has constructed nearly 3,000 vessels of different types – pusher tugs, raft tugs, dry bulk carriers and passenger ships, tankers and oil barges, platform barges, river pontoons, etc.
