OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2011. According to the contract, the crop of maize at the total area of 700 hectares was ensured against full or partial loss for the amount of 3.75 million rubles.  

Last summer’s abnormal heat became the insurance event.  The dry weather led to the loss and shortfall of crop, and, as a result, the region which is number two in Russia for gross grain harvest suffered multimillion damage. Examination was conducted in order to determine the size of damage suffered by Zarya OJSC. As a result, the event was acknowledged as the insurance event and Ingosstrakh OJSIC paid the insurance indemnity to the enterprise in full.

The insured crop is an object of lien by the Rostov regional branch of Rosselkhozbank JSC  as a part of loan issued.
