Siberian Chemical Plant Passed International Standard ISO 14001:2004
OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2011. Siberian Chemical Plant OJSC (included into Rosatom’s Fuel Company TVEL) has successfully passed certification audit for compliance with ISO 14001:2004.
In December of 2010 SCP OJSC obtained the international certificate of environmental management system conformance to ISO 14001:2004 (registration number TIC 15 104 10777 of 19.11.2010), the scope of which covers production of enriched uranium hexafluoride, uranium hexafluoride for enrichment and purification (affinage) of raw uranium. Tuv Thuringen e.V. (Germany) performed the certification authority function.
The process of certification of the current environmental management system for compliance with the international standard ISО 14001:2004 “Environmental Management Systems. Requirements with Guidance for Use“ has been underway at the plant since 2008. So, Siberian Chemical Plant continued improvement of its activity in the field of ensuring environmental safety and protection.
The environmental management system certified according to the international standard ISO 14001:2004 improves SCP OJSC reputation both at the domestic and the world market.
