Olympstroy Erected 500 Tons of Maly Ice Palace Metal Structures
OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2011. January 18, 2011. The builders have erected 500 tons of metal structures at the Maly Ice Palace (Ice Hockey 2) (capacity 7,000) in the Olympic Park. All in all, 4,400 tons of metal will be needed to build up the Palace frame.
To date, the foundation of the above sports structure has been completed, with walls and column footing 99% complete. The site work will be accomplished after the closure of the service passage intended to enable the base of the future ice stadium to be constructed.
Before the end of January, it is planned to assemble another 200 tons of the metal frame, complete the 1st floor concrete ceiling and prepare the rink area.
The project is scheduled for commissioning in 2012. The Maly Ice Palace (Ice Hockey 2) is among the projects whose design allows it to be dismantled for transfer to another region.
This venue’s investor is UGMK Holding.
